Morning all! Work is once more getting in the way of more important things, like trolling this thread and posting.

Scheduling spacer installs with my tech, and hopefully getting to the bottom of the popping noises being emitted on shutdown and sometimes at idle.

Got coffee?

Good morning Brantly
I'm just getting to my coffee now. Earlier than yesterday, but later than I like.

hey there, pint! while the post-MAF is an easy install, it can be somewhat tricky if you've not done it before. also you need to go back and re-tighten the clamps several times as they have a tendency to back out while breaking in.

when i did the HPS tubes, i removed the front strutbar (triangular shaped). not sure about the Z1 tubes, but on the HPS tubes i had to do some trimming to correct the length and also make little notches for the orientation keys that are on the stock airbox. not a big deal, but i like my installation to be perfect. basically the stock intake system is very good already, why make it worse using some misc aftermarket bits installed sub-par, right?

as for the sensor themselves, just dont touch the metal portion. place them on a safe clean table/work bench while you're working on your car. you will need some tools to do this install. sockets, ratchet, knife, fork, spoon, etc.

I'm trying to see if my family can help me do it. How am I supposed to learn without guidance?

You're giving up already? Really? I think perhaps if you have someone there, but you do the work you will feel more confident. I know you've got a lot of mechanically inclined fambly members...perhaps they can supervise over a case of beer or something.

That's actually what I'm hoping for. In negotiations with my uncle to help me.
