Because it is epic fun. You can hang out with people like me and Mr. m4a1mustang.

And the roads are bucket list roads. They are

Tail of the Dragon to US-129 N/State Hwy 115 - Google Maps

N Carolina 143 W/Cherohala Skyway to TN-165 W/Cherohala Skyway - Google Maps

It is. The registration was over 800 this year, and nearly everyone there drives a Z.

Just a great rolling party in a resort with awesome roads.

This can be arranged, although the Dragon is harder on passengers than the drivers. Just ask KaienZ34 next time you get a chance ;)

daisuke149 05-20-2012 07:27 PM

the roads are pretty Epic. The passengers can sometimes get queezy.

That's fine. I trust your driving more than mine. Are the dates set for next year?

yah, the search engine sucks at times. but hey, you wasted my 2-3mins typing so  for you. hahaha

Yes, but so many have now benefited from the 2-3 minutes that you spent hunting and pecking away in true Ken-San fashion, whereas nobody but myself benefited from my 20 minute's search.

(One has to stop and wonder tho: How many times have you had to waste 2-3 minutes answering that same question?? Hmmmm, it seems that I just destroyed the crux of my argument! I think I'll stop now while I'm far, far behind!)

Steve's got a pretty good one, but I'll let him tell it.

I got down there before most and ran both the Dragon and Cherohala in the rain, which was scary and awesome.

But all the fun happens when people start filing in. Our group parties at Cabin 660. Drinks, food, fun. People like Lou Fusz and daisuke149 are awesome folks to hang around and joke with.

We'd get up early for runs, come back, just hang around and joke on each other all day. You get to see awesome Z's and G's of every generation. And you get fun stories like a guy walking up hill with two gopro's on a helmet (one facing front, one back), making engine noises.

Our buddy Steve F brought a giant megaphone, which got used as more alcohol entered his bloodstream, and made for great times.

Red__Zed showed up, nearly died, then came and hung out with me. :bowrofl:

Many other similar stories.

Oh, and my mother treated a biker and his passenger for injuries sustained dropping their cruiser on the dragon, while I went back to the previous blind corner and flagged traffic to slow down until the cops showed up.

Lets just say I found the limits of the PSS on pavement, and subsequently discovered that they grip pretty well in the grass and on the edges of cliffs. I also reaffirmed that, despite the initial f*ck up, I'm a pretty good driver to recover from that ****.

Lesson learned for next year: the car is f*cking fast as hell... but not THAT fast. Slow down.

Yeah, I know what happened and why it happened. Bummed that I let it happen but it's life... the lucky ones learn and move on. Mainly annoyed that I put a friend of mine in danger but we were able to laugh about it afterwards...

Everything is in great shape. Never stopped. Just a quick off and right back on again. The gravity of the situation didn't really sink in until we revisited the scene a bit later.

I am happy you survived what we call a "butt-pucker" or "sphincter-clincher" experience..

I felt none of these emotions until later when Lou Fusz drove by as I was standing on the side of the road with Red__Zed. He slows down... "hey... watcha guys doing? ;) ;)" :icon17:

In other news... probably in the market for a 370Z Nismo (to replace the S2K).
