as for the weather, cloudy, and damp...not raining though. expecting mid-80F's this week... yikes. that's crazy hot when mixed with rain. :ugh2: i hate humidity. :wtf2:

hey mr.alcheng, the store rejected my 550 offer for the dahon p8. so i was going to order up the link p9, only to find the location i want to store this bike in my garage only has 27" height clearance to the lower shelf unit... which means the link will not fit. :eekdance: so i think i may have to get the p8 instead. thinking some more today... :p

Good Morning Mr.kenchan, will that be ok if you store the bike inside the house, let say a designated area which is all covered thus dirt won't get onto the carpet/flooring. It might be feasible since the bike should come with carrying bag and the size is reasonable compact when it's folded. :tiphat:

yah, unfortunately my utility room that leads to the garage is already full with my wall mounted shoe rack and detailing storage shelf. lol :icon17: and the closet is completely full with my wife's shoes... :ugh2:

i should buy a washer/drier combo so that i can save like 3ft of space... :rofl2:

Well if I said "sleeping Ken-San" I don't think the point would've gotten across.

Perhaps "sleeping troll"? There. Does that make you feel secure in your masculinity once more? :rofl2:

they are in my garage... :ugh2: this is why i had to remove a lot of things out of my garage and into storage..including my kid's bike. im trying to figure out a way to get his bike into the garage (hanging bike holder thingie) while i get myself a folding bike so that he and i can go riding on the weekends... my younger kid is too slow so he can go with mom. lol :rofl2:

i have flourscent lights mounted on the walls instead of the ceilings as i have better illumination on my cars when i detail. this takes up a chunk of space on the wall where the bike rack could go... :ugh2: i still cant figure out a good way to get everything organized. i need enough space to detail both my Z and G with the garage door closed... this is mandatory.

hey, i just found out the link p9 seat post does not include the pump after reading reviews online.. :ugh2: even though the spec calls out that it does at the nycewheels site. and nycewheels was pretty sneaky about it saying 'hey it might say that on our site, but our vid sure didn't show that!'

im like wft, bait and switcher.

i think im going to go with the dahon...and if i go this route i will definitely order through amazon. lol.

Motor, debug nose and mirrors, clean windshield, repeat.
Pretty much the pattern for the last three days. I drove to Stockholm, NJ to spend some time with the fam over the weekend, then to Hagerstown, MD this morning to do a colour demo in a salon.

It's kinda like the difference between "motoring" and "kenchaning". :icon17:

The company I work for is based in London.
TIGI copyright©olour - Home

The British version of the English language has many different spellings and words from the American version of English.
- The "extra" U in words like colour or favourite.
- The "bangs" on a woman's hairstyle is called "a fringe".
- Swaybars are called anti-sway bars.
And that's not even getting into British slang!

Bang is funny when you look at the etymology of it's usage.
Here's a little thing I wrote last month:
Sunday Morning Coffee Topic: "Fringe" vs. "Bangs"

If you're new to my chair you might be a bit confused when I refer to your "bangs" as "a fringe". My training with a company that originated in England has me using hairdressing terminology that might be a little different than you're accustomed to hearing. Aside from that, I really think that when it comes to describing the hair that falls around your eyes, the focal point of the front of your hairstyle, "fringe" sounds quite a bit more elegant and glamorous than "bang" or "bangs".

Check out this little tidbit on the etymology of the use of "bang" in reference to hairdressing: ""Bang" continued to evolve, and by the 19th century was used to convey suddenness or finality, which brings us at last from Old Norse hammers to modern haircuts. "Bangs" are so-called because they are created by cutting the hair "bang- off," abruptly and straight across the forehead. And finally, at the risk of offending our bang-coiffed readers, I must tell you that "bangs" as a young lady's hairstyle almost certainly originated with the practice of cutting horses' tails straight across, a style known to this day as a "bang-tail."

I'm not trying to be a snob when I call your bang a fringe. I just want you to feel more glamorous than a horse's tail.

kenchan 05-01-2012 01:54 PM

luna- hahaha, kinda like me calling squid when i eat squid where other folks like to call it calamari. :icon17:

or crab. they're just enlarged spiders... let's go have some spiders tonight. :yum:
