I just addressed mine as it was driving me nuts. I would recommend something like Tri Flow Bike Lube instead of WD-40. WD-40 isn't much of a lube as it is a solvent/cleaner. Tri Flow Bike Lube works much better as a lube.



I put some news paper behind the clutch pedal assembly (I figure this goes without saying) and sprayed spots and moved the pedal up and down as I hit each spot. The spot circled in orange below was the last spot I hit, and also seemed to be the one causing the noise. After spraying both sides of the pin, move the pin left/right with something you can stick back there to get it distributed in there better.



My pedal moves from side to side a little bit too. Seems normal.
