The 370Z had been my ideal car for a while, but I was also looking at the Genesis 3.8, GTI, WRX, Lancer Ralliart, and Mustang GT 5.0. The Genesis was too softly focused, the GTI was underpowered, the WRX and Ralliart both had unrefined interiors IMO, and the GT just felt too big for me. There weren't any EVO X's anywhere nearby so I didn't go out of my way to try it. In the end, driving the Z felt really special every time I went to test drive, so I knew it was right for me. It still makes me grin one year later
 None of the other cars had the same effect.
