This was filmed in the Middle East, Lebanon to be precise. Looks like a private property

I'm sure he needed new tires after that video on that blocky surface. And for me that is power sliding not drifting.

Some people claim the Z doesn't have enough power for power slides/drifts/ or any torque related inertia driven acrobatic... so my point is. The Z is viable as a car with enough power for the above AND I'm sure he can afford new tires. Ur probably more worried about it than him.

From my view he used drifting and powersliding techniques to make the video.

Great. After I first heard this song, I had "blame it on my ADD" stuck in my head for weeks. It's back.

The Z has power to drift my point is that with a car that you cannot turn off the Traction Control it make it a bit more difficult not impossible. So yes the 370Z wasn't really designed for drifting but more for Autocross. Just because he slides on curves doesn't mean he is really drifting. If you look closely every time he power slide is in a hard corner. Which he need to accelerate and power slide in order to "drift". So yes the Z has the power but the technology installed make it difficult.

I'm sure you know him personally to be so sure he can afford tires and if was my car yes I will be more worry than what he is. ;-)

Funny, I don't remember nissan claiming the Z was designed specifically for autocross...

And as far as knowing him? I don't need to know him. Its called common sense. Obviously the guy is driving this car very well. He knows the dynamics of the car obviously. For him to understand the dynamics of the vehicle to get itt to slide the way he does, obviously he must know what effect it has on his tires. But he made the video anyway... so my guess would be kinda obvious.... but I forgot where I'm @. If its not linked to wikipedia or Bob the oil guy... it can't be solved with common sense.

No, they dont specifically say is for AutoCross, neither for Drifting or Drag Racing. I based my comment or opinion on the history behind Nissan to redesigned the Z model to compete with the Porsche track time. Because they removed the option to disabled the Traction Control, because they made the car wider and shorter for better handling, the sport package has LSD for dual traction, and for the new addition of the Rev Match to avoid the Engine Braking when you down shift helping you getting out of the corners easier and without losing momentum.

Just because he knows how to powerslide means he can afford tires, or he knows the effect on the tires cause if you look professional videos of drifting they don't choose floors with tiles. This was maybe a video that he just did to have fun and record it and share it with every one which is ok as well.
What I don't understand is why you got so defensive by me simply watching the video which you post it for everyone to see and me giving two simple personal opinions:

1. I believe that is power sliding
2. And he will need new tires after that

Those two comments shouldn't create this debate or your response. Is my personal public point of view based on the video. Which you don't have to accept if you believe other wise. Never said the video sucks or video was bad my only two comments were harmless.
