Actually the roadster wheels are quite nice once they are all clean and polished up. The base rims for the 09-12, I didn't quite like.

It looks...softer. I dunno, maybe it has to grow on me. I really like the wheels on the Nismo though.

It's almost July now....does anyone have any idea when the 2013's will hit the dealerships? I'm not sure if I should wait or buy the 2012 now?

I think I'm in the minority here when I say I really like the new front fascia and wheels of the '13. The front end looks less thrown together than the 9-12. And of course the new colours are amazing! That said, I'm still quite happy with my fangy front.
Also, do people us the terms "zenki" "chuki" and "kouki" to designate minor revisions on the same chassis as people do with AE86s and S chassis? |

I'm in the minority with you too. I like the new front end. The lines just flow better now and the car looks more classic looking. You don't ever hear any of the Nismo owners saying, "I wish my car had fangs." :icon17: Hell, half the people with fangs black them out anyway so you can't see them. I remember back in '09 and '10, fangs were being made fun of. I also like the new 19" wheels. I read in the Intro section that a new member wrote that the wheels reminded them of flowers...... They remind me if wheels that kick humongous ***. |
And here.... they.... come:
New 2013 Nissan 370Z - in US Area - on Cars.com 4 convertibles in Magnetic Black, Pearl White, and Gun Metallic. |
The new front look is a total improvement. I like the new wheels and the new colors. The car looks better, smoother overall. There is a very good chance I will order a new metallic red or blue one.
Coupe/Sport/7AT just like the one I have now. The more I see my current front end the less I like it. |
 at the post, not at the 2013. :icon17:

i thought this was interesting... i read in the japanese press release on their NISMO Z while the out put is still 355PS (350hp) the ECM has been tweaked to improve acceleration and low to mid end torque

They call it a reflector.

I wonder if those LED can be mounted into an Amuse front? Like, if you bought a 2013 and put on the Amuse kit.
|
OK having no fangs isn't bothering me and doesn't looks bad as I first had thought but those LEDs are not for me........I like the curves on both sides at the front and the added lights take away from that. IMO the LEDs should have been OEM in the headlight in the landing strip if they were going to add any!
OP - cooltoy- for removing and remounting the LEDs into a AMUSE kit, yes it would be possible. Just take out the whole light and be careful to not break them when disconnecting . Instal your kit (make appropriate spot for mounting lights ) put the lights back in and plug in the harness! I am 99.9% sure that they will have a harness and you can just take out the LEDs for just such an event like changing front bumpers etc.... |

?????????Z [ Z ] ????&???????/SUV ? ??????? ? ?????????
Really $ 64, 181.25 for the Nismo?? And you can add Nav for $ 4, 689.75 INTERIOR COLORS: http://www2.nissan.co.jp/Z/interior.html And also a 7at is available on the nismo... |
Quote:
That's one Nismo I wouldn't mind paying for if they had it over here. |
^^I would love to have that Nismo fully optioned like that! I would've bought it if it were offered here. The interior killed it for me in the Nismo is why I didn't get it.
|
i think manual leather seats are coming to the Nismo? i know new brake cooling hoses for the nismo exclusively as well... pads have been re-redesigned, touring/nismo get an upgraded bose system with 2 extra speakers. not sure about nav pkg... nismo gets the smoked rim treatment as well. i think the nismo will be the most desireable Z in 13 model for current Z owners looking to trade... it makes the most economical sense if trading.
|
IF the nismo gets leather I'm going for it. If not I think I'll stick to touring...
|
Actually from what I read, the Nismo has the least amount of upgrades so why would it be the most desired upgrade over older Z's? Assuming only what was in the press releases. gun metal wheel color and SS brake lines.
|
US nismo doesn't get leather.
