so basically the gave the 370z a 350z front facia for 2013... fail.
|
fail. if they were gonna change anything at all, why not change the whole car completely? my opinion is biased, of course. but it seems like there isnt much room for exterior styling improvement on this generation Z.
|
|
nice render. not sure how accurate that is, but i do like how the front bumper appears to have more of a "lip".
|
i see a lot of people adding a "lip". i guess im one of the few who dont like the look.
|
but like, if my car exploded, and someone goes, "hey, here ya go, brand new 2013". okay.
|
if anything, they should have made the engine DI

I'm planning to move over from my 2009 Nissan GT-R to NISMO 370z and I think that z 2011 is the best containing all the specs and features in spite of going for 2013 z with no certain upgrades.

I think Z has more driving spirit and executive look as compared to the latest technology sporty GT-R which is a long term car and I've driven it many times. Although Z contains an ugly look but doing its best in terms of performance in lower budget as compared to GT-R and become more trendy in US streets while the GT-R has come up with a true Japanese style design. |

I think the new Z will look cool. Can't really say unless seen in person.
|
i see that they changed the front grill to slotted opening holes rather than blanks where the brake cooling duct inlets should be, does that mean they'll actually do it right this time?
I like the 2009-2012 look more. Both the wheels and the front bumper, but hey, they gotta do something to it to entice people to buy the Zs right? |

i'm sure it's all about meeting business demands, but why are they not addressing the major issues by fixing them? Like Fuel Starvation, Oil Overheating, Brake Fading (by using the port in the bumper meant for brake ducts), etc...
The only thing they really responded well on is giving people options to have the Red Brake Calipers...yay! Come on' at least an increase of power or something. I believe even the new Hyundai Genesis Coupe will have an Increase in power, possibly more than the 370z. All I'm saying is keep the 370z competitive like the GT-R. Otherwise, the Z is just gonna end up on the bottom of the list next to the Mazda RX-8. |

Right. I know I'm just unloading my anger all at once but the last time they did a refresh they bumped up the HP for the 350z quite a bit and change it to dual intake system. That's not minor improvements.
I guess they must think that the 370z is a pretty good car already and don't want to improve it much. Also, with those mechanical problems they should address it within this generation not the next one. Im sure no manufacturer would like to remember the 370z generation was the one with the most problems. Once again, look at the GT-R why all the emphasize? Perhaps the GT-R is the Iconic car and not the Z. |
i just love the fangs on the car. With out it it looks like a 350z

More revolting than "refreshing" is the 2013 if you ask me.

The last 350z refresh was a significant upgrade performance wise. I'm very disappointed that they didn't do anything of merit for this refresh. |
I love the car. But if the next upgrade isn't all about
the engine and more HP. I may change |

Whether if its styling, performance, what so ever. They should improve as much as they can with the limitations as what they can change with the car. Most of the time, car manufacturers just slap a front bumper, make a little change to the head/tail lights, change the spoiler a little, cup holders, arm rest and call it a done deal. Unless Nissan believe that this car still is a pretty competitive car already, which I don't...esp for the money we paid. There are other competitors who are constantly revising their cars. Within this class alone, Ford Mustang, Hyundai Genesis Coupe, etc - they're doing more than just a minor face lift. I'm not saying that I am fond of those cars but I believe the 370z may not hold its place like from back in the day 2009 Motor Trend, Road & Track comparisons. If HP & Engine power is what the car lacks, so be it the next upgrade - the 370z could use some more torque. But I believe there's more problem we're all experiencing they should address! They obviously have addressed the brake fade issue by coming out with Nismo option brake pads in 2010. Similarly they should address Fuel Starvation, Oil overheat, perhaps revise Rev-Matching mode or some other bells and whistles like the GT-R re-doing the Launch control. |
Still no oil cooler....sigh.
