I have a deposit on a Midnight Blue, Base, Sport, 6MT that is scheduled to arrive around 9/14. I really like the color in the pictures posted by AlaskaPaul, but if I don't like the color when I see it in person, I'll switch to Gun Metallic.

Finally, the Nissan Project 370Z was completed.
Don't know why it took so long to announce this if the car was unveiled last May @ ZdayZ..... Below are some of the performance enhancements given as part of the Stage 1 build, IMO they could have done better with exhuast & suspension.. 1. Greddy Twin Turbo kit, a 2. Greddy Ti-C catback exhaust, 3. KW Variant 3 coil-over suspension 4. StopTech Big Brake kit. Actual place card for Project Z located @ Nissan HQ located in TN http://i.imgur.com/TEizX.jpg In any case output improved from 332 hp to 500 hp !!!!! :yum: :icon18: But unfortunately it appear that it will never go into production... ;( Would any of you trade in your current "Z" or buy this Z if it went into production ? 2012 Nissan Project 370Z - Top Speed |
Sooo if old performance parts such as CAI, HFC, etc... were to fit on on a 2009-2012. It should be no problem on the 2013 right?

Hey guys, I just read this on Nissan's site about the sport brake package
"Balance doesn't just apply to cornering. Bringing the powerful Z® to a halt are its largest brakes ever - available 14" front rotors, with the gripping power of 4-piston front calipers. Purpose-designed ducting helps to reduce fade and provide predictable and precise stopping power." Did they actully plumb cooling hoses to the brakes now? Can someone confirm this? I know there is a DIY & stillens kit, but it sounds like it's now factory. |
I haven't been around on this site since I had to get rid of my Z earlier in the year...glad I popped in cuz I'm in love with the new blue :) Time to save up some cash!

From the knowledge i have, Only the Nismo Z is brake ducted. But you never know? |
I definitely would like to see pic of the Nismo OEM brake duct

2013 isn't an improvement in looks in my oppinion. The fangs are much tougher. The new front end looks like a cartoon car that is going to start talking in a cheery voice. Nissan needs to bring back the fangs and put in a turbo standard. A turbo 370z would spank most anything on the street, except it's $100,000 twin turbo big brother.
|
And four years ago, everyone hated the fangs. Just sayin'.

those '13's look wierd...

Wish they wouldve updated the car more, especially in the engine compartment. The car has great stock power already, but it cant hurt to add a few more ponies/ft-lbs under the hood. Not a huge fan of the new front fascia, but the overall look isnt changed much. Still an amazing car, the color options are nice too.

Heading to dealer tomorrow to check out some '13's :driving: |
Stopped by the Nissan dealer today that I would never buy from, just to look at the 2013 Z's. they wanted 47k for the NISMO. Of course that included the $599 Nitro Serv. I ask about that and they told me it was the nitrogen in the tires, and then proceeded to explain it to me. I'm not sure I actually believe it is a $600 option. Of course, according to the sales "professional" the labor in deflating and reinflating the tires and the other benefits made it worth it... By the way, after working on and around aircraft for 45 years I understand what nitrogen in tires does. The guy was definitely spreading fertilizer.
|
^ Now if that is not the best sales pitch I have heard in a long time...wait let me get the waders.
|
Only the Nismo has brake ducts in 2013.
|
Thanks UNKNOWN :tiphat:. The way the advertising looks, it would have a person believe the sports package brakes come with them.

Yea it was 35 for nitrogen in my tires and I can go to any of the dealerships branches for a top off. Also checked my 13 and didn't see any brake ducting but I didn't take my tire off and really just stuck my camera under there and took a few pics

Stopped by the dealership to pick up a part and looked at the 2013 NISMO again. Didn't see any. Rake ducts and a different "professional" told me they didn't have them. They want a lot for the car the add-one jacked the price. iPhone pic of the sticker. I am curious about the "high rigidity brake hoses"...

That's why I never go to that dealership. Only needed a couple small parts, otherwise I would have gone to my regular dealership, which is much better.
