 good catch. New model still doesn't work for me. I feel like they took a step back and made it a cross between a 370 and a 350. and the curvy wheels just look too "cute".

I don't think the 13 is ugly by any means but the front bumper just doesn't do it for me.

Thanks for posting this. I was checking last week and the 13 was still not shown on the site. Now I can work my order :)

If you add every option to a touring/sport you can get the price over 52K... lolll

scruffydog 07-23-2012 07:04 PM

Huh? Whatcha mean? I got mine back in 2010 and checked everything and it came out to be around $41k. I would pay $50K if thu have a fully loaded 370z nismo but not for $60k. There's very few sport cars that remotely interests me anymore. Every car is making 4 seaters calling them sports car because of their 0-60 or their power. It makes me sad to know that's where automotive industries are heading. I hear the next Z they may consider that too so it's more practical.

Funny that some people here are so excited to have the nismo with leather. I would never own a sports car with leather as you slide around so much more.

NBZ34 07-27-2012 01:10 PM

The majority of the leather seat is the suede material.. i havent experienced any sliding on hard cornering.

So hold on................are they going to release the "Touring" NISMO to the rest of us common folk? If so, I am really sad now. Wonder if I could return to stock and trade in. Hmmmmmmmm..............

Unlike the regular Z in 2013. I dont think the Nismo will disappoint at all.

But it has very little change over previous Nismo's. Just wheel/calipers color and SS brake lines. No reason to upgrade your Nismo IMHO.

we can't have change

KaienZ34 07-31-2012 07:34 AM

The 13 nismo will not have leather in the US, bose yes, darker wheels yes, red calipers yes, SS brake lines yes, leather no. :tiphat:

I'd prefer a Nismo with options. Not just leather, the 09-12 Nismo is bare stock - manual seat adjustment, no auto dimming mirror, no Alcantara, Nav option, integrated climate control, etc. (Bells & whistles)

For me that was what sold me on the 370z Touring/Sports w/Nav in the 2008 aside from the fact that it drives great, it felt like a ~$40K car IMO. These stuff are Standard on a lot of cars, you can get all this in other cheaper Nissan models.

you also have to remember that this isnt just a 40K car its a sports car, so some of those features are not top priority when building one. ;)

Cmike2780 07-31-2012 04:09 PM

I wish Nissan trickled down some stuff to the Nismo that they learned from designing the Nismo 370z RC....albeit without the roll cage.

wstar 07-31-2012 05:45 PM

Well it's all tradeoffs, and some of those RC features wouldn't sell well to a typical "sportscar" (read: I'm in it for the looks) buyer, and/or would raise the price significantly.

idk if its already been asked " I didn't see anything " but will the new 13" nismo have the new running lights in the front cover?

I have a pic of a 2013 at a dealershit... I'll post it tonight, or someone PM me your cell or email and I'll send it to you to post, lol

KaienZ34 08-01-2012 03:59 PM

A few pics of 2013 here.

Nissan 370Z Forum - MACSIMIZER's Album: MACSIMIZERS 370Z

The only difference in looks for the nismo is the darker wheels the red brake calipers and the bose shark fin antenna on the roof.

Yeah what sold me on the base Z with sport package was that on most other cars I have to get all the bells and whistles. To me it's just more weight and more stuff to break. Honestly I like wind-up windows more than electric ones and can't stand power (read: slow) seats. Different strokes for different folks but we both landed on the same car!

So I got tired of not seeing many real 2013 photos in colors other than white. Went to Car.com and picked up some photos from dealers websites. I like the base wheels better than the sport wheels......I think they have more pop, but then I am old school. My third new car was a green 240z in 1972. How many of you were born then? Like I said, old school. Looking for a 2012 silver base manual with sport pkg.

ddot196 08-05-2012 02:07 PM

Yea I do not like those new wheels. They just look off or not symmetrical with that angled design. Idk. Just me.

ZForce 08-05-2012 04:56 PM

Anyone test drive the 2013 Sport for new suspension upgrades?

Wonder how the Swift springs will handle/ride with the new 2013 Euro-Sport Tuned shocks, available as an optional accessory upgrade for the 2013 model.

I am considering them over aftermarket shocks currently available because the price of a set of Koni Yellows is at $1000. Plus roughly $500 for Swifts totaling $1500, now it's almost at the price of a good set of coil overs.

OEM (2009) shocks run $500, that is half the price of Koni's. Euro-Sport Tuned shocks, I am guessing will be somewhere between $500-700 tops. It will be interesting to see who will be the first to pull the trigger on this combo.

KaienZ34 08-05-2012 06:49 PM

New swifts are 325 from vendors here. I would also like to know about the 2013 shocks.

Yeh..325 sounds about right. Could not remember it was so long ago when purchased from forum vendor. Things add up pretty fast when buying for two.

Shown in PIC number 2.

I noticed all the 13s come with a new red reflector instead of the blacked out plug we got from 09-2012.

too bad its still a dummy and not an actual light.

nmjaxx9 08-08-2012 10:27 PM

i like that blue
