papo- sorry to hear. are you sure it's the steering lock? did you try unplugging it, tapping it, etc to see if it unlocks?
if you can get it to unlock (per fritz's diy) if you cut the brown wire on the harness side it appears to kill the steering-lock's motor in the unlocked state for good. you wont have the steering lock feature, but it appears you wont have to deal with it any more. we dont know the long-term effects though.. |
