Motul 600-very high temp brake fluid -about $60.

Hard Brakes titanium thermal isolating brake pad shims-about $100 per axle.

Regarding the custom side skirts: I finished the install yesterday. I have some photos that I will be uploading tomorrow. I think they are a nice compliment to the Stillen lip, I'm interested to get your reactions.

I was wonderin' the same thing. Their website isn't real...uh...friendly.

Or maybe a list of what all you need?

Don't really know why I want them except to make the techs go 'ohhhh...'.

I'll play...LOL. Here are a few "cheap" mods that our customer's often purchase when on a budget. I will not list exact prices, but this will give you guys some ideas for future mods and for beginners. If you are interested in any of these below or want more info, shoot me a PM:

- Wheel spacers - (+15, +20, +25 using hubcentric "Bolt-On style or Hubcentric with extended wheel studs; Generally a 370Z can do all 4 wheels for >$200 shipped.)
- JDM Reverse Fog Light - (with or without harness will run you >$100 shipped in most cases).
- Silicone Hose swaps - We offer many replacement silicone hose options in both Red, Blue and Black. Prices range from $14.00 ~ $124.
- SS Brake Lines - Depending on model and manufacturer, SS Brake Lines can be purchased for >$200 shipped from just about any where.
- SS 1-Piece Clutch lines - A cheap mod to do when servicing your clutch system. These can generally be had for around $40 shipped.
- Upgraded Brake Pads - With the exception to a full blown track brake pad, upgraded brake pads that are better suited to the challenge of spirited driving can be purchased for around $200. Granted there are some much more expensive. It greatly depends on the manufacturer, pad attributes, the vendor and shipping.
- Suspension Components - Some piecese like SPC Rear Camber Bolts and Arms can be purchased at or around $200 shipped. Again, prices will vary greatly depending on the manufacturer.
- NISMO Rear Diff Cover - Depending on the fluids used, these can be purchased for >$200 shipped.

There are also some other "cheap mods" you can do if you are creative and have some extra time to tinker with your Z. I have seen many good attempts at all of these with different twists and ideas used:
-DIY Transmission or Powersteering coolers - The quality of the cooler and how you mount it will be the biggest determining factor here.
-DIY Brake Ducting
-Painting the rear "diffuser" area black - $50 in supplies, a few hours and a sunny, warm day.

Hahaha!! :icon18:

That's awesome!

"In an instant your vehicle can turn from a basic street car into a full performance machine with a nice race sound. *The motor can be turned on even at a stop by putting the car in neutral and pressing the gas pedal to intimidate other drivers at any stop light!"

happytheman 01-14-2012 01:46 PM

It may not be a mod, but it's still awesome:

This is great! I really have trouble saving money when it comes to mods, as soon as I have $50 in my pocket I'm like "what can I buy??". Especially now that I have my car payment this will be very helpful :) quick question: I'm in love with the Stillen front fender kit, but that Evo-R. Lip is sexy too. Would it be possible to put the two together?

If it follows the exact same curvature that the stock bumper did, perhaps... Since its actually replacing the stock bumper, I imagine they took some liberties and deviated from the original curvature to a degree... Who know? Maybe. Perhaps one of the vendors inn the community can find out for you.

Try contacting Tony over at UA.

Photos of my custom skirts

3 Attachment(s)
Here are some iphone photos of my custom skirts. I'll see if I can get some better pictures in a few days.

The pictures don't do the skirts justice. The simple lines really complement the style of the Stillen lip. The skirts are done in Plasti-Dip (to match the fangs) and are a rich satin black that goes perfectly with the lip.

The skirts are modest in size (could be a lot wider if desired) and somewhat understated, I wanted it to look "factory" rather than "super custom".

b1adesofcha0s 01-14-2012 06:56 PM

Those look great and kind of look like the Evo-R side blades.

Yea, I like their stuff too. If money wasn't an issue I would have got them too, but I was really happy with the way these worked with the Stillen Lip. When you see the car it comes across as a single kit.

I was planning a DIY but I was holding back to see if there was enough interest to justify the time.

They should work with the factory splash guards although I haven't tried them that way.
