True, I figured someone would know. Oh well... :(

TheWolfe 06-04-2017 08:49 PM

Yeah, I'd also like a tutorial or something on the +/- shift indicator :ugh2:

SouthArk370Z 06-04-2017 10:19 PM

The following assumes the use of LEDs but should be same basic procedure for incandescents.

If the LEDs are white, you can buy tinted caps. Or you can probably find some tinting "paint" but you need to make sure it is compatible with the LEDs. (If incandescent, will have a glass bulb and compatibility is not an issue.)

If they are colored, you will probably need to replace the LEDs with the appropriate colors. This will require some soldering skills.

The FSM may give more info but probably considers it part of an assembly with no serviceable parts inside. Worth a look. Link in my sig.

Painted "Z" and outer ring of side marker lights. 1 can of VHT epoxy paint ($6.00). I should have wiped the dust off of them before taking the pics.:rofl2:

Car is in the shop, wheels are being powder coated gloss black. Car is silver. I didn't do anything to the lens so lights will function as normal.

Also like to see ur car powdercoated. I heard it is pretty much permanent so I thought I might have them dipped first?:driving:

redondoaveb 06-15-2017 04:26 PM

Hopefully I get my car back today. I'll probably get some pics up tomorrow.

Yep, sport rays. I ended up paying $750.00. I drove the car in and when they were done I drove it home. They took care of everything. That included powder coating the lug nuts. We'll see how well they hold up. I ordered a black set just in case. They had the car 4 days.

Zbrah 06-15-2017 10:54 PM

750 to go gloss black? :ugh:

For me to not have to do anything but drive it in and drive it out, $180.00 a wheel was worth it. :D

Ghost116 06-18-2017 07:57 PM

Cheapest mod for me was the muffler spacer for wayyy better sound then stock. I didn't want to spend the money on a decent exhaust. Planning on bp kit so I'll prob go with the 3 inch aluminum option

$0

Turned steering wheel "tuning" button into "volume up" (down does nothing) and "source" button into volume down by simply switching the wiring plugs. True plug and play!! OE volume button does nothing either. Considering I drive with my left elbow on the top of the door panel my hand is at 11 o'clock, so no more having to move it for volume control, which is what I use most (only), other than cruise control.

$15 dollar red tow hook from ebay
