Hmmm not sure about this and why? Sorry type just not something I'd do. Ofcourse I am the one that says do what you want and if you like it that is all that matters.

RiCharlie 02-20-2012 11:49 AM

Well I got my Z back from the garage where they fixed the wheels..cleaning up the scrapes and dents.Looked great!! .Cost me $350 that was three days ago..today I scraped the wheel again driving out of the garage! :(

I gave the Z bath and oil change this weekend. Here is a shot I took with her new sister...

Looking great beach! Glad you are able to start posting a bit more and are doing well.

That's the best looking single I've seen on a 370z yet, mostly because the exhaust can is not too big. One thing I always thought looks really cool is a turn down tip on single exhausts, I bet your car could pull it off well!

Hello, mr.alcheng. goood to hear.

TypeOne 02-20-2012 01:27 PM

I know not everyone is a fan of the single look, but it's something that I love. I love the way the single pipes look on 350s, S2000s...ect. Just looks really tuned. I'm super happy with it and it sounds AMAZING!

I posted this in the other thread in the exhaust section, but this setup is 40lbs lighter than my old Stillen CBE. It rips!

edub370 02-20-2012 01:34 PM

opened up a savings acct to save for a gtm SC :stirthepot:.

now to play the waiting game...

DLSTR 02-20-2012 02:26 PM

NO Z seat time today but did order new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports to replace the OE Bridgestones. Cant wait to get them on the summer wheels(Sport pkg Rays), and fully aligned for the good spring/summer driving season!

Nooooooooo!!!:mad::shakes head: Which one? Front left, or front right?

Check into getting a mobil unit to take care of that for you. Two hours and you'll be all set. :)

Typeone- that's quite a weight saving! My fujimura mufflers are considerably lighter than the stock bonk can. Lol. :D

So our weather is rain, rain, rain, snow. would've been perfect z weather if rain, rain, rain, sunny on fri, sat, sun....:shakes head:

As reported on several other threads.................... my CF ducktail came in today from CarbonSignal. I'll do the install this weekend. :happydance:

Didn't get a chance to report yesterday, but took the car out for a serious drive with some friends in their Z's and a rouge Mustang. HAD A BLAST!

Lot's a twisties and hills. Nothing like "back home" in Louisiana.

Great time with great new friends.

SPOHN 02-20-2012 04:58 PM

First I lowered my race seats ( driver side only for now). It was defiantly too high. Not sure if that's a Recaro thing or just the particular brackets they use for my particular seat.

Then I install my harnesses. Which required drilling threw the bottom floor board and tranny hull. Believe it or not that took all day. Especially when your race seat is in a fixed postion now and is not adjustable. But hey that saves weight not having sliders. Lol. I'll probably do the passenger side next. But I got to get dinner now. Havent ate nothing all day. I'll have pics tomorrow.

kenchan 02-20-2012 07:17 PM

Spohn, you need to gets some charburgers and cheese fries. :yum: :icon17: gj on the seat adjustment and belt harness holder.

No happy, going to watch it on tv. Did take a tour of the track a few years ago, very kewl.

onzedge 02-20-2012 09:33 PM

I waxed the 370 today -- nose to tail -- just in time to put her to bed and travel to a Microsoft office in Irvine tomorrow for the day. Joy of joys. I need to brush up on my buzzwords tonight so I can embrace technology in a customer-centric ecosystem tomorrow and circle back to a competive advantage I can leverage in the market on a go-forward basis to create a true strategic imperative among my company's stakeholders.

Konis did not go in this weekend either because of this:

Saturday next they are going in -- come hell or high water -- just in time to go to Utah the following week. Geesh. Work is once again seriously messing with my Z time.

Looking forward to hearing about your Koni install Mr. Onzedge.

You'll be down in my neck of the woods tomorrow. I go to that same Microsoft office a few times every year.

Yeah, but I am only there for the day unfortunately. Flying out tomorrow morning and back tomorrow night.

Mr. Q 02-20-2012 10:18 PM

Even though it's supposed to rain thursday I went ahead and spent a couple of hours washing, claying, polishing and waxing the car.

happytheman 02-20-2012 10:27 PM

Nice, it's not too often that you hear of someone going through all four steps! So many people clay without polishing! Can I assume you used a random orbital for the polish and wax?

nepali 02-20-2012 11:19 PM

I bought my Z today! :D

Welcome! :hello:

GREAT group of misfits here with an incredible passion for their cars, sushi, charburgers, and spending outragious amounts of money on a car that's already the best value performance-wise off the showroom floor!

gurneyeagle 02-21-2012 07:27 AM

Good morning all!

Finally coming out of the black abyss that is the year-end reporting cycle (I'm an accountant).

Like I said yesterday, drove the Z for the first time out on some open hilly and twisty roads north of Houston with some friends on Sunday. What a blast. I'm nowhere near yet close to the limits of the car, but really not interested in finding out either.

I had spent the past two weeks driving Mrs. Gurney's MDX to work as she was recovering from some surgery. It really got me thinking about getting a daily driver although my round trip commute is only 15 miles and I really love driving the Z.

Getting back into the Z from the MDX was definitely a shock to the system - felt like I was in go cart. I really love this car!

Looking forward to Daytona this weekend. Happy - we have to hook-up one day as I spent my summers growing up in Melbourne/Indialantic/Satellite Beach with my Mom's side of the family. I really miss the area. I attended the 24 Hour race at Daytona from 1979 through 1995; always a blast. Basically a camping trip with a car race going on. Also attended Sebring during the same time frame. Unbelievable cars and access to drivers back then.

I'm down in the Orlando area at least twice a year. Usually head over to KSC to tour each time. Behind cars, the Space program is a huge interest for me. Got to see a number of early manned Gemini and Apollo launches growing-up, including the big one - Apollo 11. One of the highlights of my life.

Have a great week all.

Mike
