Man, I'm just blind!

On the first pic with the blue tape on the chin spoiler their is material from the chin spoiler below the tape. I used the tape basically as a guide so that I was not just winging it. The next pic you can see that that material is gone. The last pic is without tape. Basically I was sick of the chin spoiler scraping all the time so I trimmed the low points at the corners that keep scraping. Helps more than you would think.

I am picking it up tonight. I tell you what -- these guys are awesome and they will definitely be on my Christmas card list for 2012!!!

Thank you again everyone for all the support. You are my best friends and we have not even met yet.

I am getting the rev numbers from the old and new part for those of you interested.

Have a great day!!!!

Bad news. Apparently the 2012 models do not have a steering lock any more so there is no way to swap out the mechanism. Figures. So, the dealer jerry-rigged a module from an Altima so the car is driveable at least and I can bring it home to wait for the part. February 10 is the estimated delivery of the part. Nice.

Completed my exhaust install and made a test run. Music to my ears.

Check out my journal for pics & vids, link at bottom of my signature.

Since I was all up in her plumbing this week, I decided to make her feel like a real lady.

Today I ordered an '09 6MT rear differential to combine with a Quaife LSD to install in my 7AT. I am hoping that it will not affect my cruise control. That should make it a bit more responsive and more fun to drive too.

That's really great of them to help you out like that, it's not every day you find a deal that is willing to go above and beyond to do things like that for customers. Glad to hear you have the Z back for now!

For those interested in the fog light mod. Get a 7443 bulb/socket from online or auto parts store. The socket will have three wires. Use a dremel to shave off the sides of the socket and little tabs so that itll fit inside the foglight (reuse the O-ring from the orginal 7440 socket).

Wire about 4ft to extend each wire.
Take a zip tie to secure the moded socket to the foglight.
Install fog light using Simota's DIY
I tapped into the left rear light same as DIY
Cut into the rear light harness and soldered the wire leads as follows-

Socket Rear light
Black > Black (Ground)
Red > Red (Rear light ON)
Blue > Green (Brake light ON)

Took about a couple hrs to do.

Enjoy!!

Yikes! Well good to hear that you are back on the road. Dealer went above and beyond for this one.
