Nice stuff, Mr. EaZyD. Nice barn also.

Good afternoon Z people.:tiphat: My Carbon Signal Type N duck bill add on wing got delivered today. I did a really quick test fit and it fits well and looks pretty good. The one thing that I don't really like is the noticeable step from the factory wing to the add on wing since it sits on top of the old one. It slightly bothered me in the pics and does so in real life as well. I am considering either having it molded onto factory wing or perhaps getting a FRP factory replica to mold it to. That way I do not mess up my factory wing for potential future sale back in original condition. Any thoughts are welcome.......other than shipping my wing to you that is:p

It took about 4 hours to dry completely, but I'm really pleased with the results!

That looks very nicely done. The red and black contrasts always very well and it looks oem! props

Appears people are getting the Z's ready for spring/summer fun! I like how the red contrasts with the black plastidip Crux.

:iagree: It's just I had some bad experience with regular wax before so I look for something different this time to try out.

Regarding the streaks, I use a clean microfiber cloth and make sure just use very gentle force to wipe off the wax, so far it works out fine.

Those streaks you mention, somehow, they'd be easily noticed when you're in the gas station.

Mr.kenchan, that's my question too. Are you using those masking tapes to mask the plastic part during waxing your Z??

note: waxing-- I mean car waxing, not those hair-removal-waxing.

Nice KingZee! We don't hear about the time people spend in their bays much.

My fiancee bought me a bunch of cans of FW1 Cleaning Wax a while back because they were selling it by where she works...I have never used the stuff on my paint, I use NXT Tech Wax for that, but for the wheels, plastic and engine bay this stuff works wonders! I just spray it on a microfiber and use it to wipe down all plastic, rubber and metal...takes up all the dirt and brings everything to a nice new looking shine. They usually sell the stuff outside of gas stations and mall kiosks.

I think you nailed this one with a cross-court shot! Taping off the during polishing/waxing was my guess too!

Good morning Z Crew! :hello:

Morning mr.alcheng and everyone!

I use the jdm tape to mask off seals (black parts of car) and nooks when polishing. :D. Wax is not too big of an issue but polish residue is a pita to remove when dry.

GaleForce 03-20-2012 07:54 AM

Good morning everyone.

I'll be taking the Z for a drive down the highways to the big city today, weather permitting. Last time I did this I had a truck blow it's tire in front of me. I avoided most of it except for 1 piece. Ended up ripping my O2 sensor plug off the bracket and it became unplugged. Damn trucks. Luckily the actual plug connection wasn't damaged but the "bird beak" is MIA.

Unless you have it molded into the factory spoiler, there is no way to avoid the step. It's really no different from the Porsche ducktails of the 70's.

Being it's contrasting carbon fiber, the step is irrelevent to me. If your's is FRP, then molding it into the factory spoiler makes perfect sense and would look great.

I've gotten nothing but compliments from everyone who has seen it, including my dealer's bodyshop manager.

Whatever you end up doing, I'm confident you are going to love the spoiler. It's one of my favorite mods so far.

Good Morning All. :hello:

Just a little torrential flooding rain and a tornado warning to deal with this morning here in Houston. It's kind of neat watching the storm move in from my office.

Only Z action though Thursday will be commuting. Friday is wash, polish, and wax day. Got two big Z Club functions this weekend (weather issupposed to be perfect), and I want the ride looking prime.

I'll be able to update the avatar too. The lift from the stock springs from the Tanabes looks great to me. I am changing out the 20mm rear spacers to 10mm.
