My Z? Oh where to start.

In my ongoing war with trying to get my TMPS swapped-out for my Nismo rims which includes hitting a major pot hole and destroying a new tire, things just ramped-up.

Upon arriving (in a sudden down pour) at the dealership yesterday to get my TMPS swapped, I attempted to park in a section that was raised with a slanted curb (like a regular driveway) and managed to snag the bottom of the bumper and bent the black plastic diffuser. Replacement part will cost $375 from Nissanparts.com.

Oh, then this morning while surveying the damage, I noticed I had three different areas of "spider webbing" in the bumper paint from where it obviously was stressed severly from the impact with the curb. So, the clear bra will need to be removed, the bumper repainted, and the clear bra reapplied.

I've decided I'm going to swap out the Tanabe springs with the originals. I just can't deal with the hassle of a lowered car anymore; too many inclined driveways and speed bumps.

I've already got a taker for the Tanabes. Loved the look and ride, just can't afford the ongoing damage.

Lesson learned. No one to blame but myself.

Woah...wait a minute...you mean the $70 part on my Z06 is suddenly $375 on a Nissan? We are talking about the black flexible plastic thing under the snout, and not any kind of bracing or anything else it attaches too, right?

That sucks :(

Also, the 370Z is plenty low in OEM form. I would not want it any lower. Good call.

Go with the flow and get low.

I'm already looking into if it is possible to lower my ZL1 when(if) I get it:ughdance: OK here are some real reasons. 1) Reduces air under the car therefore reducing under body lift. 2) Less drag helps increases gas mileage. 3) Lower center of gravity improves handling. 4) It looks killer LOL OK that one isn't really scientific

That MRC suspension is NOT to be dicked with. Buy it, and leave it ALONE. It already has posted a better lap time at Willow Springs than the GT-R ever has, so let it be (stock/stock).

MRC works by measuring the position of the suspension in relation to the chassis, among other things. This alone means: Don't.

LOL I LOVE that car. I'm canceling my ZL1 order and going to buy that one :roflpuke2: From what I've seen you are correct and it isn't practical to change the springs on the ZL1.

Looks like there are 4 losers from the biggest loser in that car.:icon23: Lets go thru the McD's drive thru and get a dozen supersize meals then stop at In an Out for a 100 pack.

Thank you Mr. kenchan, the bro took a turn for the downside Friday night, took him to ER this morning just got home, he is in for the weekend. Fever at 101.8, chills and turned out this morning an incision was infected hence the fever. Caught it in time, no fluids in the lung, antibiotics and dressing to be changed. Thanks for the well wishes.

Glad to hear the situation was caught in time! Scary to think that in an environment that is "sterile" you still have the chance of going home with an infection... It happens regularly I'm afraid. :shakes head:

Extend some community love to your brother, ok? :)
