Same. I am 36 hours into my 48 hour week, though :)

I have owned my Z for one year today and I'm still in love with it! :)

Woah...wait a minute...you mean the $70 part on my Z06 is suddenly $375 on a Nissan? We are talking about the black flexible plastic thing under the snout, and not any kind of bracing or anything else it attaches too, right?

That sucks :(

Also, the 370Z is plenty low in OEM form. I would not want it any lower. Good call.

No, the Nismo front bumper has a thick black piece of plastic that attaches to it and is a structural element. It wraps around the bottom of the bumper and attaches to the belly pan.

Gurney, that completely blow chunks. :barf:

How much of a drop did the Tanabes give you? At least you arre staying true to the Z! I applaud you! :)

I've gotten my stockers to last 25.5k now.

The drop was estimated to be 1" in the front and 0.75" rear. It turned out to be more like 1.50" front and 1.25" rear. That doesn't sound like a lot, but when it comes to front end clearance, especially with a long nose like the Nismo bumper, it's huge.

The edge of the bumper in front of the front tire is only about 4" off the ground, where as a stock Nismo is about 6". Everyone I know with a Nismo isn't having the problems I've had.

Some of that is specific to my driveway, but the car is still too low for me to feel comfortable. I've never had a problem on the street, but I have "puckered-up" a few times. It's just not worth the worry for me.

If I hadn't moved to an urban area, I wouldn't be having this discussion. Where we used to live, I never had a curb to contend with. Different city now and different environment.

You guys are right, the stock ride height is plenty low. I've been noticing the drops on stock 911's and other sporty cars and it's fine.

Yes, I still need to be careful, but I should have less concerns once I go back to stock ride height.

Come on Fire, #'s 1 - 3 are B.S.! :icon18: Scientifically correct? Yes, but negligible on the street. They are justifications for #4 which I agree with 100%. Come on, fess up, you know it's true. :icon17:

I've got no problem with people lowering their cars, and if I was driving under different conditions, I'd leave mine alone.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you with the ZL1. :hello:

Mr. ZForce

I just got off the phone with Mr. ZForce and have an update on his brother Hal. Hopefully, he will be coming home from the hospital today for continued recovery at home. Let's all send Mr. ZForce and Hal our best wishes, thoughts and prayers.
