QUESTION???

Does the Mustang Forum Suck that Bad that even After they buy a Stang they Stay here to Throw Mustang TidBits down to Z owners????? Or is it really some type of David Quoresh subliminal, force-feeding of mustang bullsh1t to boost sales and try to beat Camaro popularity???
Or is it you guys wish you guys kept your Z's but greatly wish you did a 5.0 engine swap and you're trying to beat 5.0 in our brains so someone will do it?
Or are you guys trying to master SUBLIMINAL-TROLLING????

I call all of the above.

Maybe it's because we're still Z fans, and we have lots of Z friends here, and people like you continue to pull numbers out of their asses and it keeps us around. Imagine that.

That's pretty much it... well, except for the fanboys, but we all know who they are.

I've been on this forum since early '09. I was one of the first people to get a 370. I was probably the first person with a solid red 370Z in Virginia.

I love the cars, I love working on them, and I have a bunch of friends that I've met both online and in person because of this community. I like it so much I still run our 370Z owner's club which is 50+ members strong. And I pay $300 bucks a year to keep our Meetup page up... all because I hate the Z, right? :icon17:

You guys know that the only time I ever ramp up the Mustang talk is when someone is so woefully misinformed that I just can't let it slide.

So, what you are saying is you completely made the numbers up?

I'm here for a couple reasons:

1) the humor
2) easy place to interact with some knowledgeable car guys (many of whom owned a Z at a point in the past)
3) the lolz

m4a1mustang 01-03-2012 04:04 PM

It's obvious he made the numbers up. And his strategy now is to wait until this thread gets locked (it should have been locked when it was started, but that's an entirely different story) so he can avoid the embarrassment of being proven ignorant and wrong.

I for one think the Z interior is very nice..maybe my expectations are not high enough or something. I dont expect a porsche interior because it doesn't cost like a porsche

Interior is subjective but you're right, the Z's is very well done.

skidpad numbers
2011 gt 5.0: 0.94 g (2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 - Short Take Road Test - Car Reviews - Car and Driver)

2010 z roadster (which is claimed to be the same handling-wise as a coupe): 0.99 g (2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster Touring First Test - Motor Trend)

...meh?

i don't even get wtf this argument is about anymore.

I like that this forum is not just Z guys, it keeps opinions more fresh and provides different prospectives. Plus, from reading many, many other threads, I have learned a lot about my Z, from these "mustang" guys.

I did say its .95 mustang on the track. Street driving and track measurements are different. The Z doesn't lose grip where the stang does "ON THE STREET". All you're doing is saying what I said and rewording it then arguing the wrong point. Anyway, the 87 is off track. The numbers come from a MT comparo when they did both maneuvers on street and track. Comparing pre 2010 mustang to the 2011. The pre 2010 broke .79 on the street and 87 on the skid. The 2011 broke .95 on the skid. .87g on the road. I haven't driven the brembo stang, but the 5.0 gt premium that is the same price as my current car. I felt Z handled better but the stang was good. How does the Brembo Z compare to a NISMO. The NISMO breaks up to 1.02g on the pad.Anyway,
"I'm sure if we FI'd the Z to 420hp/360lb torque, we'd be on the heels of an M3 as well. "
The camaro is faster than us around a track too... doesn't make the camaro a better handler. My guess is what you call better is the torque taking you out of the turn better than the Z and the chassis being balnced enough to absorb it. The ONLY way to really know? Is to FI the Z to the same power level as the stang and see how the Z responds coming out. Anyway, how many mustangs did you own before you bought a Z and went back to stang????

JDMJDMJDMJDMJDMJDMJDMJDMJDMJDMJDMJDMJDMJDMDJDMJDMJ DMJDMJDMJDMJDM

actually the FI Z would overheat and not even make it around one lap. :tiphat:

they are called car enthusiasts. m4a1mustang mentions in his posts that the Z is better in some regards, but you, as a fanboy, cannot accept that another similarly priced car could be better in some way. So when another car is better, you come up with some convoluted way of rationalizing how the Z could be better given a set of hypothetical circumstances. or just talk about how that car that is better in some way is just overpriced german snob car, or some american redneck crap, or _________(insert excuse here)

People like me???????? Oh so you're saying the stangs live axle can put down the same number on the street as it can on the track.... since you're the stang head. You find it and prove me wrong. Show me where the live axle has had near equal handling on the street than it does on a track. I am not looking for a almost 2 year old artticle. Has the live axle improved greatly on the street??? ABSOLUTELY. Rain capabilities improved since the 10, definately... are there inherent weaknesses on the live axle on the street vs an ind susp quality sports car"?? OF COURSE... Nothng in what I wrote were bad numbers or mustang bashing. You can find the same info just reading compilations of articles as well... but whatever stang.
You're Mr. I had one first.
You're Mr. I'm not only a member, I'm also the president.
And you bought the stang cuz it was sooooooooo much better than the Z that in spite of your "loooooove" for the Z you just had to buy the greatest car on the planet. And sorry that none of us know as much as you. Even if we been up against your cars and know a little something. Just a little. Like I asked before... how many stangs did you own before you went to a Z and then bought a Stang? A reason why I ask... you will find what you drive more to handle better if in fact you been behind one so long that its almost all you know as a vehicle. Now I know you came on here already with your AR and mustang praise... so I know you're experience with mustangs is way more than Z's in a time factor.

Fanboys only love their cars. There's a lot of cars I love equally or more than the Z.
But whatever.... you keep talkin' it.
