The GT-R, hey look its extremely fast but if you want the car to do everything for you and you can be the car's accessory by all means. No soul, even if I had the $ right now I wouldn't get one.
Textbook fanboyism at its best. You drive your 370z on the street and it doesn't take any more skill to drive a 370z on the street than it does a GTR even with its DCT and AWD. you make it sound like driving a 370z is like racing a v12 formula 1 car with a manual transmission and driving a GTR is like driving your moms subaru legacy. I guess all DCT AWD cars are boring. I wouldn't get a GT-R either, for the record... but you talk about soul? wheres the the soul putting the same engine that nissan uses in every v6 family sedan and crossver into their sports car?

The fact of the matter is the vr38dett was crafted for the GTR. It is a purpose built motor for nissans highest performance street car they have built to date. the VQ is the cookie cutter nissan v6 that they have used in practically every v6 version of every car since the infiniti i30 (VQ30). It's in the altima, maxima, murano, fx, G, M, etc. Hate to burst your bubble but the VQ37HR is inferior in every way to the VR38DETT.

Car enthusiast: Wow this car is awesome, i think it's hand's down a better performing car than yours
Fanboy: But i could totally build mine to make it better. And besides my car has more soul and is more fun to drive.

A TT 370z makes more power with less boost because of the higher compression ratio. Turn the boost up to 14psi in the 370z and you'll blow up the motor. a high compression ratio is not optimal for a forced induction engine which is why FI 370z's run low boost.
