Early on I saw a print ad. It was either the December '08 or January '09 of GQ. 2-page spread of the side profile of a Platinum Graphite coupe.
I think there was at least one TV ad that ran for a while. I did some digging through Nissan's annual and quarterly reports and was not able to find anything specific to the Z. Just consolidated advertising expenses. Your best bet would probably be to try and contact someone at the marketing arm of Nissan North America to see if they could help you.
