Huh? Unless you just do a full on dump, you are always slipping the interface of the clutch disc: its just the Time(Delta) that it takes from dis-engaged to engaged that promotes wear.

Driven near 500K miles on manual transmission's in the last 20 years, and have only replaced a single disc due to surface wear (and that was because the 1.6 OEM Miata clutch doesn't take kindly to 12psi of boost...aftermarket solved that quickly). I think am ready for the big leagues with respect to my clutch skills
