Storing my Nismo for the Winter: Any Tips?

I currently live in New York and Michigan and the winters here can be brutal, hence I will be storing my Nismo in a garage in Florida from November to March. I have never stored her, nor any other car before so ANY info/tips you guys can provide me with would be great! In general, i know to throw a cover on her, but do i need to unplug the battery or plug the exhausts to keep out small animals etc?? These types of things I am uncertain about. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Last winter all I did was put a cover on my car and left it in my garage from November to April. It was fine when I started it up. I live in Calgary, so it was basically in cold storage.

Make sure you have a full tank of gas to prevent any condensation build up in the tank. Might also want to change your oil and plus your exhaust pipes so nothing gets in there.

Fill Tank + Fuel Stab + battery maintainer (not trickle charge) is all you really need to do.

It all depends on how crazy you are. Older cars require more care. Avoid ethanol fuel if possible.
Flat spots don't happen much with modern tires, internal corrosion takes a long time to happen on non cast iron block engines. Depending on humidity get a big bag of silica gel and make sure you clean out the engine bay and interior of any food or vegetation to prevent pests and insects from making it their winter home.

Oh and mice/rodents love rubber parts keep your place free of them.

I store my car for the winter as well. All I do is put a cover on it (which covers the exhaust pipes), put a fuel saver additive in the tank with a full tank of gas and thats about it. I do start it up once a month for the battery and i move the car back and forth each time to keep the tires from getting flat spots...

I don't go to the extreme in the winters to store my car. Just put it in the garage. If there isn't any snow or salt or water on the floor I would still drive it in the winter. It helps get the batter charged up and get things circulating.

I love getting my "batter" charged up


I do a full detail, plug the exhaust, pump up the tires, remove the "Batter", add fuel saver, and cover her.
