But will this paper be enough to fight back??

that should be enough. Did your payments unexplainedly go down some time after you got the policy?

it should be, may I ask as to who you have insurance through? each insurace company is different on what their fine print says but you should be covered with any company some are more difficult than others. I have USAA is great when it comes to banking etc but in the insurance which is by the way located in tampa go figure have terrable reputation that I have found. the better I have been told by my shop and other shops is geico?

I had USAA for about 10 years now, NO problems at all.

I have Progressive, and from the start i was paying a good amount, roughly under 200 a month.

* i was just told friends saw my car on Fox news...so upsetting...

I have had USAA for 13 years now and have never had a problem with them but then again over those 13 years only one accident my wife had backing into the sister in laws car and that was just a small dent other than that everything was great for them since I always paid in full up front. If you ever get the chance to read the reviews for their insurance do it but you cannot be logged in you must visit their page as a visitor to read the bad comments, there is one horror story that the guy has been without his car for over a year and they wont deny the claim but just choose to drag it out so he cant appeal and they try to make it look like they are doing their do diligenance.

:iagree: USAA is horrible with insurance claims, the reason they were dropped. Reading the fine print is key, especially if you purchase your insurance over the phone or online.

well Progressive is a pretty stand up company. I had a claim when I had them and had no problems.

You can never care too much, I feel the same way every time something happens to my car too. It is really terrible this had to happen to you, especially something completely out of your control.

The best of luck, I am positive the insurance thing will work out in your favor whether it happens by Progressive's own free will or through court.

Glokwork 09-09-2011 04:54 AM

Sorry to hear about the flood man, hopefully insurance will take care of it for you.

Footloose301 09-09-2011 05:08 AM

Progressive is good. They took care of me and my used 2009 that I totaled and I was paying $118. Then I got a brand new 2010 40th and my insurance dropped to $98. Same coverage.

P.S. I see a ton of my friends from up north posting flood pics on facebook of their cars/houses covered to the roofs.

RandyD 09-09-2011 06:35 AM

sorry man.

i know that lot well, it sure doesn't seem like a place that should flood.

keep us posted.

That really sucks, but it's why you pay insurance. Now you can get another Z, and if there was ANYTHING you learned from owning this one ("I hate XXXX color interior because it marks easier when I drag my shoe across the door-sill" or any other quirky nonsense you couldn't know without owning the car) you can now correct that on this second one!

370zproject 09-09-2011 06:43 AM

now you can buy a gtr with the damage money?

that suck good luck stay safe !

Disagree.

I had a guy ram my car at a gas station while I was pumping gas and he fully admitted to 100% blame to his agent at Progressive and they told him to go pound sand, it was on private property (gas-station) and they were liable for $0.

Progressive is a BS company that people who can't afford/don't care for real insurance go to because they are cheap (or because they are genuinely ignorant about the company). That's my opinion based on experience and not a damn thing will change my mind about them or their clients.
