370Z Touring-Impressed!!

Well I definately would like to add more Hp and Tq to the Z but that is going to take some doing as my wife is a very conservative driver.

Well I definately would like to add more Hp and Tq to the Z but that is going to take some doing as my wife is a very conservative driver. I think my goal would be about 425-450rwhp because it must be streetable for my wife. The question is how best to get to that goal. I have been reading the forum threads on performance and need to find a good builder here in Houston TX.

BTW, here is my Challenger at West Houston Muscle M&G.

A muscle car, hot rod sedan, and a Z.

Now THAT's one happy family!

See, now that's what I'm talking about. That stance alone make a world of difference. Very nice!

As for the Z, a GTM Stage 2 kit with a nice electronic boost controller is just what the doctor ordered. You can dial down the boost. I run stock boost most the time on my TT but run about 16.5 psi with the push of my index finger (with my hand on the shifter in 1st).

I've driven one before. I was amazed by the feeling. I'm definitely getting this car soon.

Boy is that ever true. When I got my GMC Sierra a few years ago after years of other GM trucks, I was impressed with how well it steered, cornered and the lack of sway on turns (for a truck). A little time behind the wheel of the Z reminded me of that the GMC is indeed, a pickup truck.

Well I am fortunate to be able to mod my rides and I like them show and go!! I have not seen any lowered Z's around but have seen several with TC. My goal is to TC or SC if available. What I don't know is whether these rides are difficult to tune. The Dodge rides are a PIA to tune and there are a hand full of folks that can do it. Does the same hold true for the Z's?

I got challenged by a Mercedes AMG today at a light and was impressed that I kept up with him and then in 3rd gear started to reel him in. He shut down soon thereafter. I would have thought the AMG would have walked away from me easily.

^^^ On a closed course. Professional drivers. Do not attempt this yourself...

You should not have any trouble finding a tuner in Texas. Sam at GTM has tunes for his kits and will be happy to work with you/your tuner should there be any issues.

Those dodges are nice, but they aren't sports cars. Totally different kind of ride. Awesome that you can/do appreciate and own both!

I agree. The car seems quite refined to me. At first I thought it was the 7AT but honestly I think it's just the platform.

Yes found it. See Baker Tuning

They have in business since April 2010 and that worries me a bit. Would rather have a company with a longer business record though.

IF there is any hesitation talk to TheDreamer and JB-370z. Dreamer has a GTM sc installed by Baker and JB has a GTM TT installed by Baker and both of their Z's are not garage queens they get run hard.

O and they have been in business long before April 2010 so dont go by that date, not sure how long the tuning division has been around but i know they were there in 09

Nice Rides OP!!! Yes, the Z can't hold a candle to your Dodges in the hp department, but in terms of overall "feel" (cockpit, handling, etc) and looks, imo, the Z owns.

They are associated with Baker Nissan, so they have that going for them. They have done some impressive work and they had Smoky Nagata in doing some work last year.
