370Z Touring-Impressed!!

My wife bought a 2009 370Z and I bought a 2007 Dodge Charger SRT and a 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT. I have never driven the Z until this weekend when I got a chane to take it out without here.

I was amazed by the quickness and response of the Z on the highway. The sterring response is smooth and very accurate. Moving from one lane to the other takes a quick flick of the wrist. The Z makes my Dodge rides look like whales out of water. Now both Dodge rides are putting down over 650 rwhp so its no race on the 1/4 mile. But in a road course, I am sure that the Z would outclass my rides. I think I am going to supercharge the Z and make it a whale killer!! LOL

it's hard to beat the overall performance, handling and ride of the 370Z for the price….great car!

ya man the Z is a great over all car. looks, handling, power. its not all ways about how much HP you got!

No doubt a great car. I got mine 5 days ago with 236 miles on it, today it has 812. lol

sonic370 07-17-2011 07:59 PM

whale's out of water..:bowrofl:
no offence both of the dodge's seem to be nice cars...

after you ride in the z for a extended amount of time and then drive any car like
the charger or new camaro you feel like your in the family sedan. just my 2 cents worth... if only nissan ever offers a z with north of 400 hp!!!!!!!

What do you have in your Dodge's to put them at 650HP ? That's some massive Power!

In the handling department, the Z is definately graceful to a level way beyond its price range. Power comes in smooth and the car is quicker than most expect, especially for those who are new to jdm.

The 2007 Dodge Charger SRT has a new Arrington forged 392 long block with 9.2:1 CR, D1SC ProCharger at 10lbs of boost, a Southern HotRod tranny, Paramount rear with 1400hp axels, Fore 3 pump fuel hat with 2 Walboro 225s. Although not my style, your Charger is SICK. Props on a great build!!! Nicely done.

Appreciate the positive feedback on Zs! After test driving the Roadster, my wife asked me what I thought... "I think it's about 200hp shy of where it needs to be." But hey, that's why I have the TwinTurbo. :)

I continue to see Challengers and find them to have about four inches too much sheet metal vertically. I think they would look incredible if they were just a little shorter and had the stance dialed in a bit. I know there are people out there doing them right, but I haven't seen one seen one in person that did it for me.

Between the two, both cars being bigger than I'd like, I'd opt for the Charger. Now, also not along with my style, BUT - that's a sweet and sick looking ride!

Sure the 370z performs great (numbers wise) for the $$. The only issue is somehow, even though it's undeniably quick, it doesn't feel that way. There's a certain numb feeling to the overall driving experience.

I just crapped. Literally, I'm on my iPad in the bathroom. Sick ride!
