Sometimes it's on sometimes it's off for my girl too. She's light as well but she can certainly survive an airbag shot to the face over the windshield ( god for bid ).

Airbags aren't really supposed to stop unbelted passengers from being hurt, and a belted passenger shouldn't be hitting the windshield.

The sensor is more than weight based, I believe it is pattern based.

Thats what im saying my g/f can deff survive a airbag being deployed at her. But none the less, its a weight sensor. its ok. Im not gonna be driving wild, and hopefully others wont either when im on the road. lol
