contradiction? In someone pulling out 20 feet in front of me and it being their fault?

I hit HER still her fault, im not on the argument of reflexes and vision. A 40 year old man would have done the same thing as me. All I am saying is just because he is 18 does not mean he is not responsible.

I'm 18 and most of the time I drive calm unless there is no one around because taking corners in this car is a sh!t load of fun, but my car does have oil temp issues even during a cruise in 70 degree weather so I guess you just need to see if it's one of those that needs an oil cooler for DD.

I was (am) a superb athlete and driver, excellent student, never drank/smoked/drugged, never in trouble, now I am a successful professional, regardless I did stuff I shouldn't have when I was that age, luckily I got away with it. And a kid will do these things regardless of the car they drive, however, this car will get attention your son doesn't need and invite testosterone driven challenges from every other 18yo with a hard on, as is the nature of the animal, and will likely end up in street racing. I have the kids challenge me all the time, and I have enough control of my gentleman to not take the bait.
Have a talk with your kid about street racing. And drugs. You post online, you get advice you didn't ask for. Good luck and I hope you both enjoy the car safely. |

An extended warranty is just something needed with any driver 16-30 in my opinion. I'm 23 and I've had a warranty on both of my cars and it has saved me numerous times. If any argument is to be made, this warranty will keep him out of many unexpected car problems that cause money (moreso with a 370Z), if you plan on him being in college then it will save so much time, effort, and money. College kids are broke, I was, it saved me. Also, if he's not doing college then just going out into the real world in the very beginning is super expensive. I just moved to Texas to start my very first real job after college and I've easily spent a few thousand dollars just on moving costs. He doesn't need any unexpected expenses, and certainly you won't want him asking for the money when the time comes around when a possible transmission goes out, or the air conditioning system fails. I'm just saying, it is a very smart investment.

As a parent, I purchased both my son and daughter new cars (325 IS) after they both completed their freshman years of college-each with a perfect 4.0 GPA. There were two caveats: Both must attend and complete a Driver's School and neither could receive a moving violation whilst in college. Failure to comply with either would result in the car being taken away. They completed both Novice and Intermediate training programs and neither received any tickets. They still have those cars today, now some 15 and 18 years after purchase. |
