I guess after owning a $4000 jam-o-matic (Tactical Supergrade from Wilson, as well as a Les Baer TRS--both sucked in the reliability department even when clean, well and correctly lubed, and on the square range. No dirt or running dry needed. They failed when pretty.), you become a bit anti-1911.

Give me my tupperware.
When you want reliability out of a 1911, you want a GI spec not a super accurate and therefore super tight, Wilson or Les Baer. They are race horses and for every day you want more of a pack horse.

Glocks are great and I do not recommend you change weapons.

Re: tupperware. Mine came in the same but now Glock gives you a lockable box.

yeah pretty much this.

I shoot XDs personally since the glock doesn't really fit my hand, but my GI spec 1911 has been flawless in operation. Not a single failure to feed.
