Your Tires

They're all fairly noisy. They are wide tires and there is no significant sound insulation to speak of. However When I installed the Bridgestone RE-11's I noticed that the frequency of the tire rumble changed and it's actually a little more pleasant now as the tire is a continuous block design.

Tire Rack is the way to go. They are charging $295 for the front tires (each) and $300 a piece for the 275 width rears. Sure beats what the dealer will charge you.

I'll use discount tire and probably go with the run flats. Oh yeah I always get the insurance! ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I'd pass on the run-flats. The ride is rough and they cost too much compared to regular tires.

If I'd wanted a smooth quiet ride I would have purchased a Cadillac CTS.

I'm not a fan of run flats either, but they might make sense for some people.

Well the Z is no comfy sedan, but compared to a stock ride, ride will be rougher. Well this thread is about tires right, so just trying to give some input. With run-flats, handling is also sacrificed, not to mention price which I thought was an issue in this thread.
