I just got back from a family vacation where I was practically forced to rent a 4X4 for a week. I couldn't wait to check this thread to see if someone had sniped a pic of my parking.

If someone doesn't have to haul stuff at least a few times a week, I don't understand why he would prefer to drive one of those damn things.

Hmmm... I thought those Smart cars were as long as larger pickup trucks were wide. So long as his hatch side wasn't "sticking out" into the street, I don't see what the problem would have been, other than envy there's actually something those microcars have a value in.

I've actually seen two Smart cars parked in a single parking space together... though I believe that's also illegal in my state.
