This concerns my stock 2009 Nismo with 10,000 miles. For the past several weeks, I have noted a clunking-like noise eminating from the rear as the car comes to a stop when braking. The noise appears only when the car's forward momentum shifts backward as it comes to a complete stop. If the car comes to a very gentle stop with little weight transfer, the noise is not evident.
Naturally, I brought the car to my local dealer where it remained overnight for evaluation. They concluded that said noise resulted from a slight glazing of the left rear brake rotor and could find no other explanation. Does this sound reasonable? |
