Reason I ask is because tonight my uncle brought it up. I told him I was about to get an Evo X or 370z. He responds by saying "do you want a dude magnet?" or "a chick magnet?" In my opinion, I don't think either are chick magnets but I agree on the dude magnet and the Evo. I thought this was funny and wanted you guy's input since I don't own either right now.
I would tend to believe that it would be neither. Women who aren't that shallow (probably older than 22 or so), shouldn't need the allure of a hot sports car for attraction. I mean, we're not in Hollywood and we're not trying to sleep oneself to the top. So no, a hot car should not be the "magnet" to attract the opposite sex.

There are exceptions, of course. Males with little to no penis and a high adversion to riced-up Civics. And females who charge by the minute....

this is pretty true. i come from a pretty rich area. where "kids" (17-24 ) are driving expensive cars ( myself included ) cars like m5/ m3s, 370z, corvettes, new mustangs ,new model benz etc. but honestly it takes more than cars and money to meet a girl you actually will care about. and those guys that have cool cars are not getting girls left and right.

chicks dig convertibles, so i would say compared to an S2000, its less of a chick-magnet.

However, my Z is definitely a kid magnet.. some dude just told me his young toddler son's favorite toy is his scale push car in the shape of a 370.

Reminds me when my friend's modified prelude (pretty clean IMO, Carbon-fiber hood gave it away) rolled next to me. Both of us saw a dad and a little 5 year old girl (both are white, fyi). The little girl says the darndest quote.

"Daddy! Is THAT (Prelude) car, rice?"

Of course the dad was half smiling and half cautious. I just poke my head out of the Z and shouted "Yes dear! THAT is rice! Your dad is a good man!"

BTW, I live in the OC and the 370z doesn't seem to be a panty dropper where I live. =/

My car seems to be a pre-teen boy magnet. Like it says "free candy" on the side of it.

Kids stop and stare at my car in parking lots and gas stations ect.

Damn you Need For Speed!

What is wrong with you? Do you purposely go around acting like a royal douchebag to every inquisitive member? If I recall this guy is a college student or college graduate, and is paying for a new car with his own work.

You would probably do well to mind yourself.

Hey Purist, it is true this car image deserves more than the young male adult full of testosterone influencing his decisions. The cars' image would get more respect if grown ups were actually driving it and from what I hear these guys should be saving their dosh for other things. You guys like us have to pay for education right?

There's no need for douchebag remarks such as this!
