Based on the workmanship, I think the 370Z might last a little longer than the Mustang. I know the V8 is another beast but I once had an 02 Mustang V6 for just two years with lots of issues, highway acceleration, transmission shitfing problem, and rattling noices from the cockpit. the back seats are useless anyway since they on fit little people. As soon as we had our first baby, we had to trade it in for a Honda Accord.

Based on my experience the new Mustangs are built just as well as, if not better than, the 370s. It's a very solid car. It's funny you mention your '02 V6. We actually have one in the driveway (my sister's old car) with 160k miles. It's an automatic and hasn't had any mechanical issues. Just routine maintenance. Mechanically it is very sound. But, you can't even begin to compare that car to the current Mustang (or really anything Ford is currently offering). The quality difference is night and day.

I agree. Also, the current crop coming out of Ford is way beyond the caliber of stuff from the beginning of the decade. No only are the products better overall, but the reliability seems MUCH better than it has been in the past.

Yep. Which is why they are winning all the awards and leading in sales. It definitely isn't the Ford of the 90s or early 2000s anymore. Alan Mulally came in and shaped things up.
