Based on my experience the new Mustangs are built just as well as, if not better than, the 370s. It's a very solid car.

It's funny you mention your '02 V6. We actually have one in the driveway (my sister's old car) with 160k miles. It's an automatic and hasn't had any mechanical issues. Just routine maintenance. Mechanically it is very sound.

But, you can't even begin to compare that car to the current Mustang (or really anything Ford is currently offering). The quality difference is night and day.
