Glad to know you and your wife are doing good and survived this horrible experience.. Hope you fully recover very soon...

Man, I thought I was having a bad day. That was one insanely freak accident, glad you escaped with only relatively minor injuries. A few seconds of unconsciousness could have cost you your life. Do you think you broke your right leg because it was locked straight on the brake pedal? Very sad about the other vehicle, that's the worst angle of impact possible.

Your Z did her job and kept you safe. Hope you have a speedy recovery. Make sure your physical therapist works on heel-toe drills!
