Anyone hoping for a recall on the IPDM should first document their case with
Vehicle Owners | Safercar -- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Next contact Nissan USA and tell them this problem is not a rare one off issue, rather, more and more drivers are experiencing it, and point them to the threads on this forum and documented complaints on the ODI-NHTSA website. Then, Nissan may issue a service bulletin to upgrade the failing component or issue recall for known defect upon further investigation.
