I was fckin' pissed! I parked first and the idiot in the truck decided he wanted to teach me a lesson.

I had something similar happen where some guy in a Silverado parked about 2 feet from the drivers side of my Z. I had to climb in through the passenger side. What pissed me off was when I got to the drivers seat I see him walking to his truck laughing.

So I opened my door into his door and left. No damage on my end but if there was it would have been worth it.

Sounds like a redneckin *** wipe. I was at a gas station and this hillbilly says " nice ******* car! " I didn't know how to take it. Was he paying a compliment or being sarcastic because he's not over the civil war. Idk.

the door handles on the Z are really well designed in the sense that if you open your door into someone elses car, it only damages their car and not yours.

yea but the miata doors are only really good for defense. they are tough. Z doors have a good offense.

To the OP, sorry that happened to you. I really don't understand why people can be so disrespectful and do sh!t like this. For most people a car is the second most expensive purchase ever, after a house. Why would you purposefully and for no reason want to damage that??

What a jacka$$. I had a similar incident only the guy was parked first... Huge monster SUV over the line. No other parking spots available for me and I was in my dd so I took the risk to prove a point... Imagine this..cart corral on the left, empty spot to the right and then the SUV over the line 1/3 into the empty spot. I tell my gf, GET OUT I'M PARKING HERE. lol, she say's you're asking for it...I didnt care. There was no way anyone was getting in on the drivers side of that SUV. I came back to my car to find a huge loogie on my pass window... LOL

I think some of us could stand to:

• a) take a deep breath and reassess the situation, giving others a little benefit of the doubt

• b) realize it's not about me

How do you know the guy in the truck wants to teach you a lesson?
Maybe the guy in the truck really likes his truck and figured that parking next to a shiny sports car is a safe bet. His truck looks shiny and brand new from what I can see in the pic. Is he driving alone? If yes, then his passenger side door won't be opening towards your car, and unless you're a fat-a**, you have plenty of room to get in your car.
Chill out. It's not worth getting worked up over. You'll be dead by the time you're 30 if you keep up this stress level.
