Yeah, I would hope the thing gets totaled too. Any idea what you'd replace it with if it does? Another Z? Something else?

I think about what my next car will be usually within a few hours of buying.

when i bought the z, i didn't do any research. i bought it because i liked what i saw. had i done my research, i probably would have gotten a gt500 instead.

Don't get too whipped up with a new car until you know it's totaled. Otherwise it's a whole repeat cycle of death, dying, and bereavement to get over the bad news that the car is still yours. Assume it's yours and you're going to have it repaired...then anything else is just gravy. A neighbor advised me recently that I should have hit the sides and back of the car before the appraiser came out. Totaling a car means you either have to hit the living $hit out of one side or just moderately bang up a couple sides.

No sir. my gut feeling was that they were going to fix it. When i stopped by the collision center yesterday i spoke with the mechanic and he told the car had no structural damage at all. Everything was just cosmetic damage...bolt off old parts and replace with new. Might just fix it and sell it

how much is the check they cut you if you dont mind? maybe it could cover the cost of a new body kit and wheels and suspension that might dull the pain of knowing its been in an accident. "free" mods just a thought.

man, sorry to hear about it. I had a similar issue happen to me once while trying to avoid the accident by a dumb Virginian who runs red lights, but all I had was a new front bumper due to scratches and superficial damage. All the luck and thankfully your safe.
