Yeah, I THINK I've seen two on the streets, one in Coronado were i live and the other one by Fashion Mall, both time it was dark and I could barely see the head/tail lights so Im not sure if they were 370z. But yeah it sucks to have one of the few 370z in San Diego, I've been followed home by 2 guys in a g37s, I got pulled over yesterday by a female cop who "was doing a routine check" at 1:30am, all she did was ask me about my car, and the first thing she said after "license and proof of insurance" was "so this is what a 370 looks like"....Im not a **** and I love to share with people who want to see it but I dont like being followed home and I dont like to get pulled over after a long day at work.... But anyways, good luck with the Z you will love it. |

haha thats a great story for the 'unique stories' thread! I actually saw a yellow one last night in Pacific beach, parked in front of a liquor store off Garnet.
I sure hope I dont get pulled over though. I am sure ill get a lot of attention, seeing as how I live in Mira Mesa... |

Nah, she was nice. And today I was at a frozen yogurt place with the wife and 2 dudes were checking out the monster for like 5 mins.... I wouldve been funny to make the car go off with the remote, but that wouldve been ****, and they wouldve been like

Right after I got my car I took it to a car meet where there were 3 GTRs and some hot Ferrari's. I swear the 370 was getting more attention than them for sure, but I was the only 370. I've had a few people cruise along side on the highway trying to check it out. It's cool to get some attention but I don't like getting pulled over! It makes my heart skip a beat when I see blue lights.

You won't need to change a good synthetic every 3000 miles. 5K is OK, some push it further but the VQ37 runs hot and is hard on oil. Stick with the owner's manual recommendation of 5W-30 oil. Forget the overpriced Nissan Ester Oil.
I have been pleased with Redline Oil, delivered to your door for about $10 per quart from Amazon.com and with no tax (ha ha F.U. Jerry Brown) and use a Mobil 1 # 110 size filter. Change it yourself. Crawl under your car, skin some knuckles, burn yourself with hot oil and you will bond with your new car in an time honored tradition. |
