I've had so many though, last time I got a ticket (80ish in 55) I had to go to court and the judge said there was no way I was getting away from it with my license and had me come back in a few weeks later for the trial. Hired Ticket clinic to go for me and got a letter about a week after saying fine was reduced to $140 and no points. I swear they have some kickback system with the state....they don't even have to argue, they just go in and say "Hi Judge!" and the ticket gets reduced...and then of course you go back to ticket clinic for all your ticket needs....a game I'm happy to play.

114 in an 80 (in texas). Trooper got of his car with his gun in his hand and ordered me out of the vehicle (c6 vette).
I had a radar detector that went off. I was actually going over 150 when the detector went off. I got down to the 114 before I flew by him. Ticket was in the high $300s if I remember correctly. Not too bad considering what he could have done. Although the highway was completely open, it was still pretty stupid in hindsight. |

Mine was 1am driving near Reno on the way home to colorado. I had been driving for over 8 hours and was going to pull over in Reno to let someone else drive. Had the cruse control set at 110mph and came up on a empty construction zone. State patrol was hiding out there and pulled me over. Talked to the trooper and he was pretty cool about it. He wrote me up for cited speed 62 in a 55. Funny thing is the ticket does say actual speed 110. He didnt even mark the construction zone. cost me like $70 with no points.

61-45 cop got out of his car and asked if I have ever owned a 350z. Started asking me questions about my car told me his wife and himself both have 350z. Let me go with a warning. First time my sport car got me out of a ticket.

70 in a 45 while driving my 99 grand prix gt. The cop was cool and wrote it for a 55 and told me to slow down.
Also was pulled over for racing a boneville in my si and was written a ticket for a noise violation. |

Age 18 on New Years Eve. 75 MPH in a 25 while engaging in a speed contest. My 280Z vs MGB. Cop told me I was under arrest, then wrote me up a ticket stating above and let me go.
In court The Judge gave me my choice of traffic school and $25 for "racing" as he put it, or for an unrelated ticket, running a stop sign. Which cost $40. I didn't want to know how much "racing" could have been. It was an easy choice. At traffic school I met a girl I ended up dating for a few months. So maybe this isn't my worst ticket.

I've gotten tons of speeding tickets and I was being very stupid...
Regret all of them cause I could've gotten a nice coilovers and new tires... 72 in 35. 2 pts, should've gotten my license suspended, if it was street racing it would've been worse... Never again... I want to get a refurbished V1... Anyone know where I can get?

The most expensive ticket I ever got was for going through a stop sign. It was retarded as the road for going strait has been closed for 5 years so its an L shape. Even if both people going opposite ways on the street ignore the stop sign you will not hit each other since the road is closed and its an L. If the road was open then it would be a T instead of an L and a stop sign makes sense.
Anyway this bitch is just sitting there getting people for going through the stop sign. When she pulls me over she says "your not the first one today" and I was like yeah no kidding. Almost everybody goes through that stop sign because it shouldn't even be there and both people going through it wouldn't cause an accident. Well I couldn't even read her freaking hand writing and she like didn't press hard enough so nothing was really legible on my copy of the ticket. They never sent me a notice in the mail so I completely missed my court date and it ended up going into collections. The $178 ticket became $478 after the collections ********. My most expensive ticket ever. My 'worst' ticket as far as how much over I was going would be this one time I was doing about 85-90 in a 50. It was a back-road with great visibility. So I wouldn't consider it to be dangerous per say. I was already slowing down as a bit down the road there are some houses and its not safe to be going fast but I liked taking the curved part of the road fast. There is a fire station off the side of the road and I guess a cop was just randomly there (I don't think he was trying to give people tickets). I immediately saw him and slowed down a ton but I knew I was gonna get a ticket. He had me waiting almost 10 min before actually giving me a ticket as he got another call or something which was annoying but luckily I am glad he only wrote me up for like a 75 in the 50 even though I was going a lot faster. I don't think he actually radar'd me because I am pretty sure he was just pulling out of the fire station and not trying to clock people for speeding. I totally deserved that ticket though. The only other ticket I have received (minus some fix-it/registration tickets I got when driving my dad's 280z) was this a speeding ticket on the CA-60. Back then I went into work at midnight instead of 10 PM so traffic was lower and I routinely drove 85 on the freeway. Well I was actually early for work for a change so I was only driving 75 (almost nobody on the freeway). This prick cop comes up behind me (I couldn't tell it was a cop) and literally rides my *** (less than 1 car length behind me) for like 20-30 seconds. I unconsciously sped up to 80 due to him riding my *** and as soon as I put my blinker on and was half way into the other lane (to let him go by for riding my ***) I see his lights flash and he pulls me over and gives me a ticket for going 80 in a 65. ******* ***! I know he intentionally did that to get me to speed up. I had one close call since I got my 370z. I typically get up to traffic speed (75) when going on an on ramp. Well I had just finished putting 2k miles on my 370 and was finally out of the break-in period. This car in the right lane was like just where I would be getting up to traffic speed so I pushed it a little and almost hit 90 when I got in front of him. I immediately let my foot off the gas and got down to about 75 but apparently a bit farther back there was a cop so he pulled me over. I explained the situation to him and told him I had two choices to either speed up and get in front of him or slow down and get behind him and I made the dumb choice of going to fast and going in front of that was in the merging lane. Luckily the cop was cool and gave me a warning which I really appreciated. So far no tickets my 370z after almost 6 months and 10.5k miles =) |
