It's so funny how when I'm driving the Z during the spring and summer months I don't think about modding that much, but when it's parked for the winter it's all I think about. It's been parked in the garage for 2 weeks now and I already ordered wheels and lowering springs.

I think I'm going to take it out and put a plow on the front... make some extra money this winter to offset the modding costs

ME TOO! I have my Venaci VG10 wheels ordered and my suspension is in the mail! HAHA! I have tons of winter projects for my Z, just trying to build up the will to get out there is this cold weather and start

What wheels and suspension did you go with?

Good luck with your projects

i have a Griot's dust car cover for my G but ended up not using it much. thing is i have a battery manager hooked up to it (hood not completely closed, cord dangling) and also i like to sit in the car from time to time while hibernating.

it's the same way for my Z so i decided not to get a cover for it. my garage door doesnt open for a few months once both cars are in hibernation so not much dust to begin with.

Weather here in the midwest has been really mild. I was driving my car until yesterday. Really enjoyed it and now I feel like my girl dumped me or something.

Sunny and 25 degrees tomorrow! I have already went on USAA.com and updated my insurance. I will be driving the Z tomorrow and installing my Berk CBE at the hobby shop on base!

How easily do all-weather covers fly off from wind? This cover has the elastics to go around the bumpers and is maybe a 200-300 dollar cover. It has eyelets at the middle of the side of the car to tie underneath, but I didn't think I needed to.

I got home last night after being gone all weekend to find that the back half of the cover was on top of my roof, getting rained on. My initial thought was that someone was screwing with me.

One more question - can you put a cover back on the car while the car's wet? Does it breathe through the cover?

The cable and lock was only an extra $10 when I ordered from my cover from carcoverplanet.com.
You can probably put together a similar cable and lock setup with stuff from the hardware store or a bicycle shop.

You shouldn't cover a wet car.

Thanks, I better take the cover off before it freezes

Hey, do you guys typically unhook the battery or use a trickle charger for it? just curious... or do you just leave the battery hooked up all winter?

wind can take it up pretty easily. there should be strap holes you use to lock down your cover from wind.
