hey guys, new here and new to the Z, bought my 370 just a month ago and i wanted to lower it. deciding which way i should go, beside the big price difference, are the springs really that bad? everyone i talked to is saying i shouldn't get springs. any help would be appreciated! thanks

Who said springs are bad? I have swift springs on my car and love them. I see you're in NOVA, you should come out to the meets we have weekly. We all ride on swifts as a matter of fact and you can see them in person.

Springs are an okay choice.. unless you want to slam your car..
I chose coilovers because you can adjust your height and ride whenever you want.

yes i heard of the meet from a friend who go there sometimes. i might go to the next meet. i'm still a newbie to the whole dressing up the car thing, how much does the whole set up costs for your springs? like the product itself, installation, etc?

Do this and make up your own mind. I chose coilovers for versatility.

springs only setups aren't very ideal, but people seem to be liking the swifts.

swifts + koni would be good, i thinks. i personally dont like running just springs.

It all depends on how much adjustability you're seeking. If you want the ability to raise and lower your car at will or adjust rebound or compression dampening, then you need coilovers. If you're okay with a fixed ride height and limited dampening adjustability, then springs and shocks/struts should be just fine.

we've sold over 100 Swift Spec-R springs for the 370Z, and so far no complaints. If you want a drop without a major loss in comfort then the Swift Spec-R springs are the way to go, just see for yourself:

http://www.the370z.com/brakes-suspen...-reviewed.html

if you want even more performance I'd say throw some Koni Yellows on top of those springs.

If you want height adjustability and even more performance then coilovers are the way to go.
