/self-congratulatory back pat .... I got rep'ed for my first post YiPee!
The HD is located inside the headunit. Be aware that the HD is password protected using the ATA password standard (same thing a setting a HD password in BIOS on a laptop.) I had to learn that standard and then us a logic analyzer to capture my head-unit's power exchange with the HD to reverse crack the password.
