Yes you did and I guess I should have taken you up on it.
..I could have spent the winter there with my wife and four dogs, two cats and a goat.. arriving in early October and leaving in late May.....enjoying your cooking and spirits..Is that invitation still open?PS and off topic, but what is this Rep Power thing? and those green buttons below it? How about maybe, one small, well mannered dog? Definitely no on the goat! How were planning to fit the "farm" in the Z?

For $140 are you sure they're not going to just stick it to the outside of the car? That's really cheap for that amount of labor. They're essentially quoting 2 hours to do what is a 5-7 hour job. |

Dunno, that's what they said. This is a shop a lo of guys here on the forums recommend as well. A while back I thought he quoted me $140 just for the hatch, but this time he said it was including the door and would take like 1.5 hrs. Maybe I should confirm and jump on it before he realizes me messed up his quote?

Ordered my Dynamat bulk pack form Amazon and confirmed the $140 quote for install.

it's Amplified Motorsports which is a sponsor here and also referred by a lot of local members. I think he said it would take around 1.5 hours. Maybe they really have their system and technique down.

![]() There is NO WAY 1 person can do it all that fast and do a good, complete job. It's an all day job if you take your time and do it right. Now for the experienced installer, it won't take THAT long, but 1.5 hours; no way. Maybe 4 hours. Does the kit you bought come with 9 sheets of 18 x 36 or something like that? If they do the complete rear, and do all the areas where the tinging plinking noise comes from, just the trunk area will take all 9 sheets. I had 10 sheets at about 18 x 40, and I had 1 sheet left over that I used to double up on the wheel wells. But again, I did the entire trunk, wheel wells, and back wall too.

yeah, it's the one bulk pack. he said it would be enough unless we were doing like an audio install or something than you would need more. Well, I guess I'll see. Now you have me wondering if I should get the door kit also for some extra mat and ask them to use it all up.

Dynamat installing now. So the reason I got such a good deal is because it is a packaged price since I am getting swift springs from them installed also. Regular install labor proce is around 300.

Its really a shame that Nissan lets the problem go..I notice even the new Zs are getting the same review from professional reviewers..its too noisy! I really think its to help differentiate it from the Infinity brand or to let them brag that the new Z weighs less than the old... |

Another thing too is that the Z is actually consider a sports car. So for weight saving they opted out of putting a 20 gallon (19 gallon) & less insulation.
