In Cabin Air Filter?

I was looking to see how to change the in-cabin air filter and there is a trap door behind the glove box(have o unscrew g-box to remove PITA) but there was not a filter in there does the 370 have a filter? or did just forget to install it?

They told me not to replace that thing until the A/C started smelling wierd. You are changing yours already? I know its been windy and dusty here with the lack of rain this year.......but damn, changing it already?

I was not changing it I was changing the speakers and just looked to see how hard it is to change and there is a place for the in-cabin air filter to go but there is not one in there

I searched the service manual PDF's, there's nothing in the maintenance section or the A/C-related sections about a cabin filter or replacing it. The only related reference I see is this, on Pg 12 of section VTL:

Item 3 there is a "filter cover", and that's the blower unit under the passenger side, probably where you were looking. But still, no mention of a cabin air filter or ever needing to replace one.

I will check with the dealer #3 filter cover should have a filter inside maybe same size as Maxima

The manual references the filter (page 4-22)but only refers you to the dealer and provides no info on changing it...

Bringing this topic back up. I was searching for a way to change the in-cabin microfilter and have yet to find one. THe dealer said they charge $80 but wouldn't give me any details on how they do it. Anyone know how to do this?

If you go to the DIY section there is a huge thread on this for years now. It's extremely simple and consists of removing a few screws and popping out the glove box.

I found that thread, and it worked like a charm. So easy to do, yet they wanted $80 at the dealership!

About to change the cabin air filter in my 2010 370Z for the first time. Followed the instructions and photos but was not able to remove the glove box to get at the "hidden" screw. I'm assuming that when I remove the "hidden" screw (using a 6-inch long screwdriver) that the glove box assembly will come out. Is that true?

Yeah, use the diagram posted here. It took me about 15 minutes to change mine.
