i'm by no means a cadillac fan. i don't like them at all. but i think that extra 15 grand is really just spent on luxury and quality, and not much name. yes, cadillacs are a luxury car, but i think when you spend 15k extra on a cadillac, it gets you more car than name, which i think cannot be said for our german friends.

could be true and if it is then you are getting even more for your money that way. Refinement isnt cheap.

the CTS-V is a refined luxury muscle car.

I give the CTS-V Coupe a lot of respect in the performance department, but the back end makes it look like a Prius or wagon/suv. It looks even worst in person.

Interesting - I like the coupe in pics. Gonna have to check one out on the lots (and get an excuse to visit a dealer showroom floor ).

I fully agree. I hate the looks and steriotype that go with the Caddy.

That is just the CTS Coupe, which came out this year. The CTS-V is four door for now as far as I know.

I won't say that, but Cadillac losses it value real quick, I think within the first year. If I'm going to pay that amount of money I want a car that can hold its value.

Two WAY different cars, but I do appreciate posting your perspective.

Hard to compare, since both cars were built with two different priorities. Our Z is a sports car, so they've taking a bunch of stuff out AND stay within a price point. The Caddy is a luxury sedan first and they ADDED performance. I think both are great values (but I don't particularly like the chrome on the Caddy; though I think it would grow on my after I drive one).
