Customboxman,
My preference for a custom subwoofer setup would be on the spare tire. If you get the chance, view the 370Z Touring model, it’s where the sub is located (on top of the spare tire). I’m thinking that if it is possible for a sub placement, it wouldn’t take away what little storage space the Z has to offer and you would still have a spare tire.

The custom enclosure for the 370z is finally here, Let me know what you all think, anything you like or don't like about the box.

Can you take a photo of it with the hatch closed looking back from the seats? Looks like a slight visability issue, but otherwise looks promising.

unfortunately i don't have any pictures from the front of the car looking back at the box, however i took visibily into consideration and the box sits just under the rear windshield so does not interfer with your rear view.

That is a very nice design but seems to be way overkill. Is that setup for 12" subs? Maybe great for car audio shows or bass heads but if you're going for just good sound I would stick with putting a custom enclosure for a single 10" or 12" sub in the spare tire well. 1 - It doesn't scream STEAL ME!!! 2 - You don't lose any trunk space. JMHO

this box is actually built for 2 10" subs, I offer this design for 1 or 2 10" subs; when the car gets to be more popular i plan on doing the same design for 1 12" sub cut into the top of the box, (leaving the front solid). I have a spare tire well box for the 350 but its not nearly as popular, because people don't like losing their spare tire, so i chose to go with this design.

How about adding a shorter box, that only comes up to about the flat part of the shock towers, designed for two 8" subs?

Why not make a play on what the factory Bose has done with the unoccupied space in the spare, but better? This way you would still retain the trunk deck area, and spare.

What would be nice would be one that fits inside the spare, and takes advantage of the new breed of slimline subs that are only 3" deep.......JL and Pioneer both make them. The sub becomes stealth, sounds better than the bose, and you don't loose the spare.

He needs to be a sponsor before he can sell any boxes.
