Just because you prefer an MT doesn't mean that anyone else is "settling" for a 7AT or that they are "halfarsing" themselves. I bought the 7AT because I prefer it for what I'm using the car for. And I definitely know how to drive an MT (damn near 40 years experience, I currently drive my modded '72 Corvette with a 383 when I feel like driving an MT). Your generalizations are pretty moronic.
