I've heard that the aerodynamics won't allow it to go too much faster than the limiter. Maybe the 165/170 mark or so.

This. It'd probably run out of steam somewhere in the 160-170 mph range.

+140 mph at Pacific Raceways on the front straight. Only achievable by working through turns 9 and 10 "carefully". My avatar shows turn 9.
